New “Power-Dot™ Braille”
Aiming for the ultimate in braille quality, ViewPlus collaborated with Braillo to create a braille dot on a desktop embosser like the braille dot made by a Braillo production embosser. The result of that collaboration is Power-Dot™ Braille.
Power-Dot™ Braille makes the strongest, most tactile braille dots available from any desktop braille embosser but still maintains a pleasing rounded dot shape. For the first time, it is possible to have production-quality braille on a desktop embosser.
Superior High-Resolution Tactile Graphics
The VP Columbia 2 offers the highest-resolution tactile graphics available on an embosser. With 8 different dot heights, users can create distinct tactile graphics more easily than other embossers. Even if images have intersecting lines, like graphs, readers can easily distinguish lines and grids, which can be embossed to different heights.
Braille & Tactile Graphics Software Included
Tiger Software Suite (TSS), is your complete solution for producing braille and tactile graphics. TSS makes it easy to get accurate braille translation in seconds. Insert text and graphics within familiar programs such as Word and Excel and translate with the touch of a button. TSS is great for users of all skill levels!
Compact, Light-Weight Design
And with a compact, light-weight design, the VP Columbia 2 braille embosser fits at any desk making it the ideal solution for students, professionals or anyone who needs high-quality braille and tactile graphics at their fingertips.
NEW Power-Dot Braille
ViewPlus Technologies Inc is proud to announce their new “Power-Dot™ Braille”, now available on the new VP Columbia 2 braille embosser. Power-Dot™ Braille makes the strongest, most tactile braille dots available from any desktop braille embosser, but still maintains a pleasing rounded dot shape.
ViewPlus is known for embossing outstanding tactile graphics and is proud to now offer the strongest and most readable braille dot of any desktop braille printer with Power-Dot™ Braille. The VP Columbia 2 will still emboss high-resolution tactile graphics and Library of Congress (LOC) braille, but for those wishing for an extremely strong braille dot, Power-Dot™ Braille is now available.
Aiming for the ultimate in braille quality, ViewPlus collaborated with Braillo and their parent company, American Thermoform Corporation, to create a braille dot on a desktop embosser like the braille dot made by a Braillo production braille embosser. The result of that collaboration is Power-Dot™ Braille.
ViewPlus and Braillo, the perfect combination:
For years, people have recognized the unparalleled quality of braille created by Braillo production braille embossers. ViewPlus engineers have collaborated with engineers from Braillo and their parent company American Thermoform Corporation for feedback and input into the new Power-Dot™ Braille feature.
Now for the first time, it is possible to have Braillo-quality braille on a desktop embosser as well as on a production embosser. With ViewPlus for desktop braille printing and Braillo for high-volume and production embossing, there is an USA-based solution for all your braille printing needs, with excellent and consistent braille quality across all documents.
High-Resolution Tactile Graphics
ViewPlus embossers offer high-resolution tactile graphics. With 8 different distinctive dot heights, users can transform images into readable tactile graphics. The dot height is automatically adjusted based on the visual color of the image. The darker the color the higher the dot and the lighter the color the lower the dot making it easy for users of all skill levels to make custom tactile graphics.
The eight different dot heights also allow you to add more details to images and diagrams. You can easily make a map more readable by filling the interior state or country with a low dot height or pattern while leaving lakes or bodies of water with no fill for enhanced readability.
Better yet, you can use any type of graphics software to do the customization. Use standard graphics software such as the Adobe Design Suite or CorelDraw or use popular tactile graphics software such as TactileView, Tiger Designer or Quicktac to do dot-by-dot editing or add braille and math labels too!
Duxbury Braille Translator
The Duxbury Braille Translator is the perfect accessory to any of our Braille Embossers. Here are the highlighted features of the Duxbury Braille Translator:
