Manufacturer’s Note (December 2019) /Â ClearView+ platform with HDMI connection
For ClearView+, Optelec has completed phasing in our new hardware platform with HDMI connections to the monitor instead of VGA. Optelec supplied a VGA-HDMI adapter during the transitional period. A VGA-HDMI adapter will no longer ship with the ClearView+.
The one exception is the ClearView+ Speech. The ClearView+ Speech will still have a VGA cable built-into the arm. Therefore, an adapter is needed to connect to the Optelec EB (Electronic Box) which does not have a VGA connector. A VGA-HDMI adapter will ship with the ClearView+ Speech.
During the earlier phase-out of the old hardware platform, we introduced a new platform with HDMI connections to the monitor. During the transition period, we supplied a VGA-HDMI adapter to connect to the Optelec monitors. Since the final phase of our rollout is complete – ClearView+ now has HDMI on the Electronic Box and the Monitor – users will no longer need the adapter.
If you have the old VGA-VGA monitors, you will need to make sure that the VGA-HDMI adapter is included in shipments to customers. (You may source the adapters locally.)
Service: The HDMI-DVI monitors also have a VGA port so they are backward compatible.
