What’s new in Version 1.6
Bookshelf navigation improvements
Victor Reader Stream 3 now gives users more flexibility when moving through bookshelves and online services. In addition to the traditional rotation method, there is now a new List Mode option. Users can also hide certain online bookshelf apps they do not use, helping simplify navigation and reduce clutter.

Better podcast controls
Podcast listening is now more customizable. Each podcast feed can be set with its own episode retention preference, and users can also adjust how often the device checks for podcast updates. Performance improvements have also been made behind the scenes for a smoother experience.

Download Manager access
A long press of the 3 key now opens the Download Manager, making it easier to review, cancel, and reprioritize downloads across apps from one place.

Added flexibility and file support
Version 1.6 also adds several practical enhancements, including chapter navigation for properly marked M4B files, support for eBRF files, playback of older .3gp note files, faster Bluetooth device access with a long press of the 9 key, and support for Bluetooth keyboard text entry in supported fields.

Bookshare and wireless improvements
Users can now access My Assigned Books in Bookshare, and the device now better supports non-Latin and accented characters in Wi-Fi network names. The idle timer is also now configurable.

Stability improvements and bug fixes
Version 1.6 includes important fixes that improve reliability across podcasts, BARD, Internet Radio, TuneIn, HTML content, Bluetooth-related behavior, and saved configuration data. The 1.6.1 bug-fix release also resolved a BARD authorization issue on new or reset devices, fixed a TuneIn crash in bookshelf rotation mode, and corrected a Norwegian Internet Radio and Podcast playlist selection issue.

Seamless language switching
Introducing an incredible new feature on the Victor Reader Stream 3 – Language Switching on the Fly! With a simple touch, you can switch languages while connected to Wi-Fi, making your reading experience more versatile than ever. Access content in your preferred language, whether it’s news, books, or podcasts, and stay connected to the world in the language that suits you best.
DOD improvements
We implement dynamic menus (used in some countries) for the Daisy Online service, allowing users to have customized menu based on their profiles.
And TONS of bugfixes!
Version 1.2 brings a lot of stability to the Stream 3. From a smoother book reading experience, better support for MAC SD cards, and a lot of “under the hood” improvements. We also fixed an issue that caused the last reading position in books not to be saved properly sometimes after a shutdown.

Bluetooth
Thanks to the Bluetooth capability, you can now connect the Victor Reader to wireless speakers, headphones, or hearing aids (when compatible).
USB-C connector
The USB-C port also makes it easier for you to plug in your charging cable!
MTP file transfer and usable internal memory
The Stream has 16 gigs (about 13 usable) of internal memory. You can connect it to your computer, recognizing it as a device and allowing you to place files in the internal memory or an SD card. This way, you can place files on the device without having to use an SD card!
Increased SD card support
Speaking of SD cards, you will now be able to use cards up to 1TB in the Victor Reader Stream. That’s a lot of media content!
Longer battery life
The Victor Reader Stream 3 has an internal battery that lasts for over 15 hours. Most people will be able to go a few days between charges!
Better speaker
The sound quality is also improved with a new speaker. We can’t wait for you to try it out!
Revamped menus
The settings menu has been revamped for easier navigation. Use the key 4 and 6 to navigate between the different options, and the Confirm key to access a submenu. No more pressing the key 7 repeatedly!
Revamped tactile interface
We have also made some improvements to the user interface. But don’t worry, if you’re a long-time Victor Reader user, you’ll find yourself in familiar territory.
