Show and Tell from Amazon can help!

Show and Tell is designed to help people who are blind or have low vision. Show and Tell identifies common grocery items and other products by using your Echo Show’s camera. Hold up a product such as a canned good in front of your Echo Show’s camera and say, “Alexa, what am I holding?“

Alexa will help you identify it. To hear the tutorial and learn more about this feature, say, “Alexa, help with Show and Tell.” The tutorial gives you product placement hints, sounds to expect, and camera tips. For more help with using Show and Tell, say, “Alexa, more help with Show and Tell.“

Before you get started, make sure that there’s good lighting in your room and that nothing is blocking the camera on your Echo Show.

    Follow the steps below:
    1. Hold your item 1 foot away from your device’s camera.
    2. Say, “Alexa, what am I holding?” or “Alexa, what’s in my hand?”
    3. When prompted, turn your item around slowly to show all sides of the packaging. Alexa will help you position the item with tips and sound.
