According to the National Eye Institute of NIH, “Low Vision is defined as the best-corrected visual acuity less than 6/12 (‹20/40) in the better-seeing eye (excluding those who were categorized as being blind by the U.S. definition.)” New England Low Vision and Blindness offers electronic magnification low vision aids, and leading low vision products for people with Macular Degeneration, and other forms of vision loss. Our state-of-the-art technology showroom is a wonderful low vision resource, showcasing a variety of leading electronic low vision magnifiers. Upstairs in our facility, clients can schedule an appointment with a low vision specialist, who can prescribe low vision glasses and other types of low vision rehabilitation services, including in-home low vision occupational therapy services funded by Medicare.
